Does it happen with you that you are hanging out with your best friend or friends and suddenly they ditch you? Well, don’t worry, best friends ditch you. In a creepy world that is. What I mean from creepy is weird, lame and not normal. Yes, when it’s a personal issue, friends can be excused but when you need them, they should be there in happiness or problems.
What I do not understand is the concept of ‘A friend to all is a friend to none’. Can’t a person have a lot of friends and be close to just a few? On all social websites, people have added a large number of friends or have followers or have friends in circles. Why is it considered so bizarre to have 1000+ contacts? All your information online is public anyway so what is wrong with adding acquaintances.
You learn as you grow up that true friends will never come in your way of success and achievement. They will only come in your path if you happen to be going down.
I understand that friendship is an unbreakable bond, but sometimes it can be broken. Usually, there is a friend who is not good for you, maybe they casually insist on a bad habit or use you for specific reasons, which you don’t realize. Yes, it’s true that an insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind.
If you want to be friends then it should be like two souls one mind, or else I recommend don’t be a friend at all. I don’t mean online but in person. You can poke your friend physically, not just via a social network.
Concept? Perception? Idea? I know you are wondering but I just want to talk generally on my ‘take’ or view on friendship. People, friends are going to be there till the end, sweet or rude, and when you don’t respond they will say ‘zinda hai k aa jao tere janazay par?’ (Are you alive or should I come to your funeral?) and you reply ‘tu zinda ho kar bhi maire liye kuch na kar saka aur mai mar kar bhi tere liye biryani chor gaya’ which means ‘you were alive and couldn’t do anything for me while I died and left you to eat biryani’.
Be true and be real, that’s what I believe.
